Her life

A few words from her family.

She was the sweetest and most caring daughter, sister, and friend. Everyone who knew her felt the goodness of her spirit. She was the glue of our family, always giving everyone the opportunity to express themselves whilst she’d offer a listening ear.

She was a big dreamer, and it was so inspiring watching her journey as a human being, from Obosi to Uyo to Lagos to London. What a life she lived! Although we are sad it was cut so short, we are grateful to have enjoyed her essence and made memories with her.

After moving to the UK in her late 20s, she had the dream of becoming a UK citizen. She was the most ‘Brit’ Brit I know, and she did everything she could to assimilate and fit into the system.

After working a number of different jobs across industries, she decided to go back to school in her 40s and became an NHS nurse. She served diligently, cared deeply for her patients, and loved the work she did. She was always looking forward to going back to help more people.

She was diagnosed with Stage 4 leiomyosarcoma in late 2025, and fought an extremely brave and inspiring battle.

She leaves behind 4 sisters, 3 brothers, a loving father, grandmother, aunts, and nieces and nephews who will forever carry her spirit. She was loved, and there is a hole in our hearts with this loss.

She was a devoted Christian and a faithful servant of the Lord until the very end. We pray she’s at rest and enjoying the sweetness of Heaven.

We love you, we miss you, and we will never be the same without you. Your memory lives on.
